What I want

Looking at my current apartment I know what I like, and what I don't want. The number one thing I hate about my apt is the carpet. It reminds me of what I would see in an office. Not a good office. A place that sells knives. And doesn't even do that well...If I built cubes in my living room I am sure I could get college students to pawn crapy knives to their family for way too much money.

The number two thing that needs to change is the cats pooping in a closet. I want the poop box to be on a different level. That way I no longer have to ask "who pooped".

My cat-crap smelling, gross carpet apartmet does have some good things. The windows are great! Big-o-windows with lots of light. Oh, and the closet. The closet space is so nice. However, one of those closets is for my kitty box and I can't use that for anything unless I really want to smell like the 'crazy cat women'....which I do.

First step

I have a realitor that I am working with and am pre-approved for more then I am willing to spend. I have been researching what I want to see and what I can afford. So far all the listings that I find don't have pictures of the inside...strange... The outside looks good though! I think this means that I will find a place the first day. I wonder if they will serve tea at these homes....no, I am not that stupid. I am stupid, but not stupid enough to believe that I am gonna walk into a nice place. I will be happy if all the walls are there.

I'm all growed up!

Look at me! I was so stylish when I was 11. No one could rock a bad perm better than me!

Now I am 25 and buying a house. I don't like this whole 'adult' thing. I have to work 40 hours a week. Shower every day. Pay bills. It kind of sucks! Now I am going to have a mortgage and have to shovel my own walk. Oh, and don't get me started on having to mow.

The good thing about being all growed up is that I can do anything I want in my new house! I can draw on the walls and no one can tell me no. Oh yeah, it is going to be awesome!

Light the match

The bastards raised my rent! I have been living in the same one bedroom apartment right next to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts for the past two years. I really like my place, or should I say I really like my closet and bath tub. The rest can go. The carpet is older than me and I can clean my kitchen floor while not even being it it! There is also what I call the FD, or Fuckn' Dog, that lives across the hall. My two cats poop in a box in a closet and I can smell their 'business' from my bedroom.

The rent raise forced me to take action. To show my landlord where to put his extra $75, I decided to buy a house. It's a buyers market and I plan to take advantage of that face. My goal is to buy a foreclosed house in Minneapolis that I can fix-up. By fix-up, I mean I will force my family to do all the hard work while I drink PBR and tell them what to do. That and I am cheap. Really cheap....

To show my apt, I included a picture of Margi dancing with a flute while wearing a fur coat during the anti-Superbowl part.

Moving my blog

I moved my blog due to the url. It was megandannettetalkaboutcats@blogspot.com. That was a blog that never took off. Not because Meg and I didn't have enough cat stuff to talk about, rather we didn't want to get in trouble at work. Therefore I started SpaceCats. Yeah, I never updated that blog....opps....

And in memory of megandannettetalkaboutcats@blogspot.com, here are some pictures of my cats, Mandy Mew and Mewski Killmouski.
